We have all been criticising about what is not being done by the government. However, we rarely give our own solutions to any problem that we see. May be the suggestion is ridiculous - but still if we look things in a positive way may be we can suggest solutions which some one can like and decide to implement. I know this is very wishful thinking but this is surely better than just criticising.

Lane For Electric Vehicles on Highways

The extreme left lane on highways can be provided with overhead electric supply wires - like the ones we have for trains. And in this lane heavy vehicles can move reducing use of diesel and reduce carbon emission. We have had electric buses in many cities earlier too. The technology is nothing new. We just have to improvise. The buses/trucks have to be made such that they use electricity when on such highways and use diesel otherwise. The vehicles can be fitted with electric meters and charged accordingly. Further, where-ever possible, solar panels can be fitted on vacant remote land which can be add to the supply line.
